Winter Favorites

Winter Favorites

I’m always watching favorites videos on TikTok or Youtube. They are my go to videos when I’m looking for new products to try out. I thought I’d create a round up of my favorite items and products I loved using this past winter season. It being March and winter coming to an end. I’ve rounded up some of my favorite products from this winter and would love to share it with you. I’ve split the products into categories of hair, makeup, food, fashion and skincare. Please let me know in the comments section some of your favorite products are or latest finds.

Hair

Quai Detox Shampoo

About once a month or when I notice some product build up on my scalp, I like to use a detox shampoo. I’ve been using Quai detox shampoo and LOVE it. It cleans the hair strands and scalp without drying or stripping the hair of its natural oils. I highly recommend Quai if you feel like your hair needs a good clean.

ColorWoW Dream Coat  Supernatural Spray Anti Frizz Treatment

If you struggle with frizz I highly recommend this product. It’s so simple to use and it actually works. It’s the ColorWow Dream Coat Supernatural Spray Anti Frizz Treatment. Before drying your hair, section the hair and spray liberally on damp hair. Then continue drying the hair with a blow dryer. This treatment will last you a long time as you only need to use it after every 3-4 washes. So it’s worth the price.

Olaplex No.8 Bond Intense Moisture Mask

It being winter now, our hair tends to become dry and brittle because of the air. So deep conditioners and masks are a must. I’ve been using the Olaplex NO.8 Bond Intense Moisture Mask and my hair is LOVING it. You can check my hair care routine for dry frizzy hair for more options on hair masks. If your hair is damaged or just want life brought back into your hair. Then this product will become your best friend. In fact the whole range of Olaplex will.

Makeup

Nyx eyebrows gel

This product holds my brows in place all day and does not move. One thing I did notice is that it flakes and leaves a little residue if I use too much. Once I figured out how much product to use for my brows, I didn’t see flakiness. This eyebrow gel is as good as some high end brow gel and its super affordable.

Milani primer

I love this primer. It definitely helps my skin look dewy and moisturized without being sticky or feeling heavy on the skin. After applying my makeup my skin looks hydrated and my makeup is locked in.

Food

Trader Joes Scallopini Potatoes.

This side dish has been my go to this fall and winter. Its super simple to just pop in the oven on those days when you’re pressed for time. This potato dish is the ideal comfort food this winter. It’s basically a potato gratin with four cheeses. It comes in a broccoli version too. Find it in the frozen foods section of Trader Joes.

Bitching sauce

Hands down the best vegan dip I’ve ever had and it’s good with practically everything. It comes in a variety of flavors and pairs perfectly with tortilla chips. This dip is definitely a 10/10.

Trader Joes Pumpkin spice

I love this pumpkin pie spice blend. It is warm, flavorful and can be put on almost anything. I sprinkle some on my oatmeal or in my coffee. A little goes a long way. Trader Joes only sells this spice around the fall/winter time. So if you see it then I suggest to get more than one. It sells out fast.

Clothing

Dunes Chelsea Boot

My daughter had a school field trip to the pumpkin patch and I desperately needed a pair of boots. So what do you do when you need something ASAP? You go to Amazon. Right? So that’s what I did and I found these cute Chelsea boots from Dune. They exactly how they look in the picture and they’re pretty comfortable too.

Lululemon Everywhere Belt Bag

I bought this Everywhere bag for a trip we are planning and honestly it’s one of the best “fanny packs” I’ve bought. I love the fact that I can be hands free in a store or park with a toddler. It’s the perfect size to carry all the essentials like a cellphone, a small wallet, chapstick, a mask, hand sanitizer, and even a small snack for the kiddo. Definitely worth a try! It will make for a good Christmas gift too.

Skincare

Laneige Water Bank Moisture Cream

I got it as part of my Sephora insider birthday gift and am so happy I did. So happy that I bought a big one. It is thick and moisturizing and leaves my skin so hydrated all day. So it is a perfect moisturizer for winter when your skin tends to become dry. Im not sure if people with oily skin would agree but I would definitely recommend those with dry skin to get it.

Laneige Water Sleeping Mask

Another product I received as part of my Sephora insider birthday gift and I LOVE it. I use this mask about twice a week, sometimes more depending on how dry my skin is. Especially now during winter.  After applying my moisturizer, I put the mask on and leave it on overnight then rinse off in the morning. I have noticed that my skin looks more plumped and hydrated especially when I use it with the Laneige moisturizer.

The INKEY list Salicylic Acid and Pore Cleanser

Another great product from the INKEY list (check out my skincare routine using the Inkey List ). I’ve absolutely seen a difference in my skin after using this cleanser. My skin looks clear, tames maskne and this bottle will last a very long time. Not forgetting to mention how affordable this product is. You can view my skin care routine using the INKEY list products here.

Well!  I could certainly write about more of my favorite things but I think I’ve covered most of my winter favorites for 2021/2022. I would love to hear about some of your favorite items to use or a product you have discovered recently that you can’t live without. Let me know what are some of your favorites.
