Would you like to style your hair in 15 minutes or less and achieve a salon quality blowout? I have just the product for you.
I’ve seen and heard so many good reviews about this hair tool and many Youtubers, influencers, and hair professionals have raved about it too.
At first I was skeptical about even purchasing this tool because I didn’t think it would work for my frizzy, thick hair. I’ve used this type of tool before and was never satisfied with how my hair turned out.
Even though I had reservations about this product, I was still very curious to know whether this hair tool that has so many brilliant reviews would work for my hair. I decided to purchase one and oh man has it changed my life. The hair styling tool is none other than the Revlon Hair Dryer brush.
About the product
The Revlon hair dryer brush comes in various colors and has 3 heat speed settings, which is cool, low, and hot which allows you to choose the heat setting that’s needed for your hair type.
What surprised me about this product was the shape of the brush since other hair dryer brushes are typically round. The Revlon hair dryer brush is oval in shape which allows the hair to be smoothed out while the round edges allow volume to be created at the root of the hair.
It’s made up of a combination of bristles which are nylon pin and tufted bristles that help with smoothing out the hair.
The Price
This product normally retails for about $60.00 however, you could snatch it up for less depending on where you purchase it and when. Stores like Target and Walmart normally run deals on it so keep an eye out.
At times Amazon would retail it for around $41.00. I was fortunate enough to purchase mine on Prime Day and bought it for $29,00, what an awesome deal! Right?
Tips on how to use
After doing your hair care routine you are going to want to use a heat protectant since this hair dryer brush gets hot if you’re using it on the hottest heat setting.
Allow your hair air-dry at least 70 % to 80 % so that you’re not using a lot of heat to get your hair dry and honestly it takes less time to dry if the hair is already air-dried. All you’re having to do is just smooth the hair out.
For the heat protectant, I use the dry bar prime + prep spray and OMG !!! this stuff smells amazing. Whenever I’m about to dry my hair I spray it all over and brush through my hair to detangle it since it is a detangler and it protects the hair from heat up to 450F.
Once you have all your styling products and heat protectant in your hair then it’s time to get started. ‘
One of the amazing details of this product is that the brush is a substantial size so you can get away with using bigger sections resulting in a faster drying time.
To achieve more voluminous hair place the brush under the sectioned hair at the root and lift it. Keep doing this until you have achieved the desired result.
Recommendations
- I found that the heat settings were positioned at a weird place so I had to stop the dryer every time I wanted to change the setting. Unlike the hairdryer, I automatically knew where the settings were because it is positioned right by my thumb. I would recommend that the settings feature be relocated to where you hold the dryer.
- Having the brush part of the tool be interchangeable would’ve been a bonus so that the brush could be replaced since the bristles become worn out after a while like a standard hair dryer brush. Seeing that the brush is large people with shorter hair could be given the option to switch to a smaller brush.
Conclusion
I have truly fallen in love with this product only because it has become so convenient for me to pull out and use. It has been a lifesaver when it comes to getting ready in the morning or touching up my hair after a workout. I don’t have to take out my blowout brush and a hairdryer and a hair iron but instead, just have one tool that does everything. Have you guys tried this tool yet?
